About
-
Producer/Director Richard O'Connor has been working in animation since 1995. That means a long list of credits. He has taught at Parsons School of Design, NYU, University of the Arts, Rhode Island School Design and currently lectures Animation History at Montclair State University and teaches production at Pratt Institute. He is simultaneously private and personally forthright, as this statement demonstrates.
Taisiya Zaretskaya has been with studio since their third year at Pratt and has contributed to all phases -design, animation, storyboards, and directing some pieces.Natalie Greene joined the team in 2018. Natalie Greene is an animation director and moving image artist. Most recently, she was the animation director for our work on Nick Davis’s You Had to Be There. She is currently working on a series of short films about unconsidered details in the built environment.
Our core team is augmented by an array of specialists -designers, animators, musicians -some of whom we’ve worked with for decades, others weren’t yet born when those collaborations begun.

Each project has different needs and a different approach.
Our process begins when we start to absorb the subject. Patterns, sounds, images emerge which are then visualized.
Some films want to be painted, others want to be puppets, or a New Yorker cartoon, or something words can hardly describe.
Exploring media both tangible and physical, we’ll funnel our development practices towards a fairly traditional system.
A rough storyboard, a scratch track, a nicer storyboard, scene layouts, animation, backgrounds, art production.
